The Sachin Saga Continues........

“Matthew Hayden once said that,"If cricket is a religion in India, then the god of the religion is none other than Sachin Tendulkar".

He has never claimed to be a ‘GOD”. Extremely talented,Hard working a genius-He had single – handedly taken care of scoring the runs for the past two decades, every time he steps in the field we expect him to hit a century – not that he asked for the responsibility. What prompted me to scribble this blog is that we have never treated our heroes as they should be. Sachin is no exception to that. He is our all – time hero and known for his exemplary sportsmanship.Yet the so called experts of the game and the media was calling for his head, along with the general public at large.

With his 41st ODI century the Bombay Bomber has shown glimpses of his glorious best as he balzed the ball all over the park. The way that he ran the quick singles for himself and for his partners only showed how committed he is a cricketer still.Atleast this century would silence his critics, this innings of his showed the world what a great champ he is. Personally speaking it was not the scratchy sedate innings that we are used to see sachin play in the recent past.It was full of energy, some of the shots that he played was outstanding reminiscent of the sachin of early days.

It only goes to prove that form is temporary but class is permanent.

Join me to share your feeling or to contradict me on sporting icon of the game that India would any day be proud of……………..

Yeah he is a genius. What amuzes me is his commitment and never say die attitude. He has always proved his critics wrong. No doubt that he is a born cricketer.

Facts and realities cannot be changed....People around the world knows he is the master blaster...our man came back from injury...A person with 18 years of international experience, getting injured and being out of action for a year, which is almost after 16 years of his career, itslef says how strong a man he is physically and mentally...i think we all need to give him the support and stop criticising....class is permanent and the way he played in Baroda still shows how good he is even today...infact in his comeback match against the Windies at Malaysia he scored a magnificient hundred which people have forgotten...

There were a lot of talks about he being out of form...I was wondering if he was really in that bad form, that he has to be dropped? Just check the comparison chart below with some of the top run getters of today...I think this will silence the critics, one and all!!!!

Mat Runs HS Avg 100 50
Sachin 14 480 141*36.9 1 3
Ponting 14 460 111 38.3 1 5
Lara 19 472 87 33.7 0 3
Gilly 11 298 92 27.0 0 3
Hayden 8 324 117 46.2 1 1
Hussey 14 392 109*98 1 1
Gibbs 9 225 93* 32.1 0 2
Kallis 11 332 119*36.8 1 1
Strauss 8 210 56 26.2 0 2
Yousuf 5 153 71 51 0 1

Does this say that he is out of form????He is a master batsman and lets start supporting him and look forward to a rememberable worldcup!!!
